This Triumph TR4A was produced in November 1967 and imported to Vancouver, Canada by the seller after being acquired in Washington State in 2004. The car has since been refinished in green with a replacement tan soft top and upholstery, and power is from a 2.1-liter inline-four that is said to have been rebuilt along with the four-speed manual transmission and overdrive unit. Additional equipment includes independent rear suspension, twin SU carburetors, 16″ Panasport wheels, PIAA driving lights, a luggage rack, a roll bar, and a dual exhaust system. Suspension, brake, and exhaust work have also been carried out under current ownership.
Originally New White, the car was repainted in its present shade of green while with the seller. The front and rear bumpers have been removed and quadruple PIAA driving lights fitted along with bullet mirrors and a luggage rack.
Silver 16″ Panasport Racing wheels wear 205/55 Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. The suspension is said to have been rebuilt with replacement ball joints, bushings, front shocks, and inline rear dampers under current ownership. Brake upgrades reportedly include a TR6 dual-circuit master cylinder and booster as well as vented front rotors with larger calipers.
The retrimmed cabin features tan vinyl seat upholstery, matching door panels, dark green wool carpets with blue floor mats, and a wood-veneer dashboard. Equipment includes crank windows, a shortened gear lever, a roll bar, and a heater.
A wood-rimmed Momo steering wheel frames a Smiths 140-mph speedometer, a Jaeger tachometer, and a five-digit odometer showing 59k miles.
The 2.1-liter inline-four is said to have been rebuilt with .040″-over pistons and sleeves, a performance camshaft, new lifters, and a cylinder head overhauled with replacement valves and guides. Induction is via dual SU carburetors with open intake trumpets. An alternator has replaced the factory generator, and a TR6 cooling fan blade has been fitted along with an auxiliary electric fan.
The dual exhaust system exits through twin mufflers with four polished outlets. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and an electrically-actuated overdrive unit, both of which were reportedly rebuilt by the seller along with the differential. Additional work is said to have included replacement of the U-joints, drivetrain mounts, and clutch components.
