This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL was purchased new by the seller’s great uncle and spent time with their cousin before being acquired by the seller in 2021. The car is finished in white over tan leather and powered by a 5.6-Liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes self-leveling rear suspension, a power-adjustable steering column, heated front and rear seats, automatic climate control, rear footrests, and a factory cassette stereo. Work performed between 2019 and 2021 consisted of rebuilding the steering box and air conditioning pump as well as installing a stainless steel exhaust system and replacing the idle speed control module, engine mounts and damper, oil pan gasket, ignition components, drive belts, brake rotors and pads, and tires.
The car is finished in Arctic White (147U) and features headlight wipers, chrome aLents, a sunroof, and a power antenna. The Carfax report indicates that damage oLurred to the left side and rear of the vehicle in May 2021, though no additional details are supplied.
Factory 15″ wheels are wrapped in 205/65 Pirelli P4 tires that were mounted in October 2019. The steering box was rebuilt and the rear sway bar links were also replaced in October 2019, while work in March 2021 included replacement of the brake rotors, pads, and wear sensors along with a fluid flush. The right front and rear calipers were replaced in September 2019 along with brake hoses and the ABS relay.
The cabin features seating upholstered in Palomino leather with matching door panels and carpets, and burl wood veneers aLent the dash, center console, and doors. Amenities include a power-adjustable steering column, heated front and rear seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a factory cassette stereo. The right rear window regular was replaced and the head unit was repaired in October 2019.
Instrumentation consists of a 170-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and instant economy. The six-digit odometer shows 89k miles.
The 5.5-Liter V8 was rated at 238 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque when new. Work performed between 2019 and 2021 included a rebuild of the air conditioning pump along with replacement of the idle speed control module, engine mounts and dampers, lower oil pan gasket, distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, drive belts, and air conditioning compressor and receiver drier.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. A stainless steel exhaust system was installed and the differential mounts were replaced in 2019 along with a differential fluid change.
