A refurbishment in the style of a COPO tribute is said to have been completed on the car in the fall of 2020 that consisted of bodywork and a repaint as well as replacement of the gas tank, fuel sending unit, radiator, and suspension, brake, and driveline components. Additional equipment includes a 12-bolt rear axle, 15″ Rally wheels, front and rear spoilers, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, a Hurst shifter, and a push-button AM radio.
The body is said to have been refinished during current ownership. The seller notes rust and damage were repaired during the refurbishment, and a replacement floor, quarter panels, rocker panels, trunk drop-offs, tail panel, passenger-side door, driver-side fender, and hood were installed. Details include a cowl hood, front and rear spoilers, chrome bumpers, dual exhaust outlets, and bright-finished trim.
Silver-painted 15″ Rally wheels wear chrome trim rings with hubcaps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires with raised white lettering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The seller notes that the brake system components were replaced along with the front suspension bushings, ball joints, tie rods, and rear springs.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black with a matching dash, door panels, and carpeting. Additional interior appointments include lap belts, faux wood trim on the dash, manual windows, a Hurst shift lever, and a push-button AM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauge. The five-digit odometer indicates 29k miles.
The replacement 427ci V8 is said to have been bored .030″ over and refurbished with Eagle rods, SRP pistons, a Competition Cams LS6 Camshaft, and a GM intake manifold and forged crankshaft. The oil has been changed in preparation for sale and the radiator, water pump, gas tank, and fuel sender are said to have been replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle. The transmission and rear axle are said to have been refurbished.
