This 1991 Nissan Figaro is a Japanese-market example that was refurbished by The Figaro Shop of Didcot, United Kingdom in December 2019 prior to its acquisition by the seller and importation to the US. The car is finished in Topaz Mist over cream leather and powered by a turbocharged 987cc inline-four mated to a three-speed automatic transaxle. Equipment includes a retractable fabric top on fixed pillars, vintage-look interior trim, air conditioning, a strut tower brace, power windows, and 12″ alloy wheels.
Based on the Nissan Micra, the 1991-only Figaro was offered in four colors to represent the different seasons. This example was refinished in its factory Topaz Mist (7K1) as part of its refurbishment and features a chrome luggage rack, bright trim, Figaro-branded mud flaps, and a fixed-frame top design equipped with a retractable fabric panel and a heated glass rear window.
Alloy 12″ wheels with chrome-finished center caps are mounted with 165/70 Powertrac City Tour tires that were installed by The Figaro Shop, and a space-saver spare is stored in the trunk. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and suspension consists of front MacPherson struts and four-link independent coil springs out back.
The cabin features replacement cream leather upholstery with brown piping and accents. Features include air conditioning, a stereo converted to receive US FM radio frequencies, and power windows. The cassette player in the stereo is inoperative and the cassette cover flap is broken.
The two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts instrumentation including a metric speedometer with a 110-mph faceplate, inset auxiliary gauges, and a tachometer with an inset clock. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 108k kilometers (~67k miles).
Power comes from a turbocharged 987cc MA10ET inline-four that was factory rated at 76 horsepower and 78 lb-ft of torque. A red Wiechers-Sport strut tower brace was fitted during the refurbishment.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transaxle.
Documentation from The Figaro Shop detailing selected options is included in the sale, along with the removed Nissan chassis placard, a tool kit, and importation documents.
