This 1965 Ford Mustang coupe is finished in red over a two-tone red and white interior and powered by a D-code 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was reportedly acquired by the seller from the long-term second owner, and features include 14” wheels with wire covers, dual side mirrors, and a Realistic FM radio tuner. Service performed in April 2021 is said to include a rebuild of the carburetor, replacement of the wheel cylinders, adjustment of the brakes, and an oil change.
The car is finished in red and was repainted under previous ownership. Exterior details include chrome bumpers and rocker panel trim, twin side mirrors, a polished exhaust outlet, and Mustang and 289 side badging.
Steel 14” wheels wear wire covers with faux knock-off spinners and are mounted with 195/75 Guardsman Response tires. The seller reports that the wheel cylinders were replaced and the drum brakes and lines were serviced in April 2021.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in red with white inserts along with a black dash, door panels, and carpeting. An AM radio is situated in the stock location, while a Realistic FM tuner has been added below the dash.
A three-spoke steering wheel wears a red aftermarket cover and fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer flanked by fuel-level and water-temperature gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The D-code 289ci V8 was factory-rated at 210 horsepower and sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The four-barrel carburetor is said to have been rebuilt in April 2021, and fluid changes were also carried out at that time.
An owner’s manual with a handful of service work entries is included in the sale.
