This 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV is a European-market example that was first sold in France and imported to the US under previous ownership. The Giugiaro-designed body was repainted in its current shade of red with a gray nose accent during previous ownership. Features include quad headlights and polished stainless-steel trim and bumpers. The seller notes rust on the rocker panels, a dent on the left door, and evidence of repaired accident damage on the right-front corner.
Silver-painted 14″ steel wheels wear bright-finished Alfa Romeo-logo hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with 185/70 Bridgestone Insignia tires. A matching spare is stored in the trunk. Aftermarket springs and Koni shocks were fitted prior to the seller’s acquisition.
Front ‘flying buttress’ seats are upholstered in black vinyl, and wood trim accents the matching dashboard and center stack.
Metric Jaeger instrumentation consists of a 220-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 83k kilometers (~52k miles).
The 2.0-liter inline-four was fitted under prior ownership and is equipped with a pair of 40mm Dell’Orto carburetors housed within a black-finished airbox. The engine is shown starting and idling in a video below from the seller, though the brake vacuum booster is disconnected and a full mechanical inspection will be required to make the car road worthy.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
