This 1970 GMC K2500 Super Custom is a ¾-ton pickup powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. The truck is finished in orange and white over a black interior ahead of an eight-foot bed. Modifications include a 4″ suspension lift, 17″ aluminum wheels with 35″ tires, exhaust headers, an Edelbrock intake manifold, an Edelbrock carburetor, an aluminum radiator, air conditioning, and an Alpine head unit, and the vehicle is also equipped with a dual master cylinder, power brakes, power steering, and locking front wheel hubs. The seller acquired the truck out of Texas in March 2021, and the brakes, transmission, and engine were serviced in June.
The truck is said to have been refinished in metallic orange and white under prior ownership. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, quad headlamps, dual side mirrors, body-side moldings, Aries step bars, a black spray-in bedliner, and GMC 2500 Super Custom badging.
Polished 17″ Pacer wheels are mounted with Federal Couragia M/T 35×12.5 tires. A 4″ suspension lift has been adapted, and the truck is equipped with Spicer locking front hubs. The truck received brake work, replacement ball joints, and repacked wheel bearings in June 2021 at Bauer Auto Service of Cold Spring, Minnesota.
The cabin has been reupholstered in black vinyl with matching carpets and trim. Equipment includes a bench seat, an Alpine stereo with Bluetooth, and replacement door panels. Controls for the Vintage Air climate-control system are mounted in the dash below the radio.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer. The factory oil-pressure gauge does not work; a set of aftermarket gauges mounted beneath the dash monitors water temperature, amperage, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 96k miles.
The 350ci V8 has been modified with an Edelbrock intake manifold, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an aluminum radiator, and exhaust headers. Service in June 2021 included changing the engine oil and filter as well as the transmission fluid and filter, replacing the transfer-case and differential fluids, and lubricating the grease fittings.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a Turbo Hydramatic three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
The Service Parts Identification sticker in the glovebox notes that this truck was built as a Wideside K2500 model with an eight-foot bed, a 350ci engine, an automatic transmission, body-side moldings, locking front hubs, a brake booster, power steering, and heavy-duty shocks and rear springs. The factory colors were White and Medium Bronze over Gold cloth upholstery.
