This 1971 Ford F-100 is powered by a 390ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The truck was acquired by the seller in August 2020 and was refurbished and modified under previous ownership with updates including halogen headlights, LED taillights, spray-in bed liner, a DJM lowering kit, an Edelbrock intake, a Holley 600 carburetor, a Flowmaster exhaust system, a JVC stereo, and Billet Specialties Vintec wheels.
The truck was refinished under previous ownership in Diamond blue and Wimbledon white as part of a refurbishment that included replacing the windshield and stainless trim, headlights, and chrome bumpers. The taillights were replaced with LED units, dark blue spray in bed liner has been applied, and a flush mount Craftec tonneau cover was installed. Additional features include a hitch receiver, Ford Ranger badges, and chrome door handles.
The staggered 17″ Billet Specialties Vintec polished wheels are mounted with 235/65 front and 255/60 rear Michelin Cross Terrain Tires. Braking is provided by front and rear drums. The truck has been fitted with a DJM lowering kit up front and lowering leaf springs in the rear. The seller reports that the factory power steering has a rebuilt Redhead steering box installed.
The cabin features a bench seat reupholstered in blue vinyl with patterned inserts joined by matching carpet and wood trim. Replacement carpet, door panels, armrests, and headliner were reportedly installed under previous ownership, and three-point seatbelts and a JVC stereo have been installed.
The aftermarket steering wheel fronts a horizontal 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. An aftermarket Sunpro tachometer is installed on the steering column. The five-digit odometer shows 64k miles.
The 390ci FE V8 is said to have been rebuilt, bored .030″ over, and fitted with a custom Oregon Cam Grinding camshaft, forged pistons, and Comp Cams pushrods. An Edelbrock intake, Holley 600 carburetor, Melling High Volume oil pump, Ford aluminum valve covers, and a Billet Specialties air cleaner have been installed. The radiator has been replaced and electric fans installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a C6 three-speed automatic transmission that was reportedly rebuilt, and a Ford 9″ rear axle.
