This 1971 Ford F-350 chassis cab was built on October 14, 1970, and delivered new to Bob Hickman Ford of Charleston, Illinois. The truck is finished in seafoam green over black and is fitted with a dump bed constructed of an oak tailgate, sideboards, and hard pine flooring. Power is provided by a 360ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and Dana 3.73:1 rear axle. The truck was reportedly repainted in the original seafoam green during previous ownership, and the bed was rebuilt with an oak tailgate, sideboards, and hard pine flooring. Features include a dump bed operated by a power take-off unit, chrome bumper and bright finished grille and trim, long arm towing mirrors, side steps, a receiver hitch, and storage boxes built into the bed.
The chrome 16″ wheels are mounted to 8-lug axles and are mounted with 9.50″-16.5″ LT Mastercraft radial tires. Power steering is fitted, and braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel drums.
The cab features a bench seat upholstered in black vinyl along with a matching dashboard cover and door trim panels. Equipment includes crank windows, a retro-style radio, a heater/defroster, lap belts, and a floor-mounted shifter.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer indicates 29k miles.
The 360ci V8 was factory rated at 170 horsepower. Service in 2021 is said to have included replacement of the fuel filter, condenser, spark plugs, points, chassis lubrication and an oil change, and a carburetor rebuild.
Power is sent to the dual rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Dana 3.73:1 rear axle.
