This 1971 Triumph TR6 is finished in green with a black soft top over beige vinyl and is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It was acquired by the seller in October 2020 after which an already started refurbishment was completed by Coventry Motor Works of Easton, Maryland, that reportedly included a repaint, new upholstery, rebuilding the engine and transmission, and powder-coating the frame. Equipment includes 16” Rota wheels, a powered antenna, a driver-side mirror, a chrome luggage rack, a Dual Electronics head unit, and a wood dashboard and shift knob.
The car was factory finished in Saffron and was repainted green during the refurbishment that was completed following the seller’s acquisition. Exterior features include a black soft top, chrome bumpers, a luggage rack, a driver-side mirror, a powered antenna, TR6 side graphics, and a black boot cover.
Silver-finished 16” Rota wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich tires that measure 225/55 and are said to have been installed in 2021. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums that were reportedly overhauled under current ownership.
The seats were reportedly reupholstered in beige vinyl during the refurbishment along with matching door panels and carpeting. Amenities include a woodgrain dashboard and shift knob, a Dual Electronics head unit, sun visors, and carpeted floor mats.
A three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 84k miles.
The 2.5-liter inline-six was retrofitted with twin Weber carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Both the engine and transmission are said to have been overhauled during the refurbishment, and an exhaust system and fluid check were completed in preparation for the sale.
Further work performed during the refurbishment included powder-coating the frame.
