The 280SEL 4.5 features stacked quad headlights, yellow driving lights, and chrome trim. The car was originally finished in Weiss (white, 050), and the body was cosmetically refurbished and refinished within the past decade under prior ownership.
Chrome-finished 16″ wheels with AMG-badged centers are mounted with 215/60 Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 tires showing 2015 and 2016 date codes. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. Custom springs with a modified rate lower the car by approximately two inches. A tool kit and a full-size spare are located in the trunk compartment.
The cabin features black seats, door panels, and carpets, along with wood trim on the dashboard and surrounding the door windows. Equipment includes power windows, a Thermo King air conditioner, and a Becker Europa FM stereo.
A wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel fronts a suite of VDO instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a combination gauge, and a clock. The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles, approximately 3,500 of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 4.5-liter M117 V8 utilizes Bosch fuel injection and was rated at 230 horsepower when new. The oil was changed in 2020.
