This 1974 Ford Bronco was acquired by the seller in 2016 and was subsequently refurbished. Originally finished in Bright Dark Blue Metallic (S), the truck was repainted Acapulco Blue in 2018, at which time rust was repaired in the driver-side doorpost and in the passenger-side rocker panel. Additional work carried out by the seller is said to have included replacing the chrome body trim, door handles, mirrors, door seals, light lenses, and the windshield glass and seals. White 15″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and 31×10.5″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires. Equipment includes manually locking front wheel hubs and a 3.5″ suspension lift. Work performed under current ownership is said to have included the installation of braided stainless-steel brake hoses and replacing the steering box and fuel tank.
The cabin features seats upholstered in blue vinyl with striped cloth seating surfaces along with blue carpets and woodgrain door trim. Equipment includes a lockable Tuffy center console, a roll bar, and a Pioneer cassette stereo linked to rear-mounted Pioneer speakers.
The dashboard features a replacement blue top pad, and an Explorer badge is present on the glovebox door. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer with integrated gauges for the alternator, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The turn signal wiring harness was replaced by the seller. The five-digit odometer shows 97k miles.
The replacement 302ci V8 was installed in 2021 and overbored to 306ci. It is said to be equipped with an aftermarket camshaft and lifters, and an aluminum radiator was also added. Work performed within the last 2k miles reportedly included fluid changes and replacing the alternator, water pump, fuel pump, and drive belts.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
