Produced in Brazil over a 23-year run, the Opala was based on the German-market Opel Rekord/Commodore and was also available in sedan and wagon configurations. The exterior was repainted in blue during prior ownership aLording to the seller, and features include a pillarless roofline, a partial vinyl roof, a single side mirror, quad tail lights with inset reverse lights, and Chevrolet badging.
Chevrolet-branded 14″ wheels feature a silver finish and are fitted with 235/60 Hankook tires. A spare set of wheels and hubcaps are included in the sale.
The cabin features black upholstery for the bucket seats and rear bench along with matching door trim and carpeting. A fire extinguisher is mounted within the passenger footwell, and a cassette player is linked to a graphic equalizer .

The 4.1-liter inline-six was rated at 172 horsepower when new and sends power to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted four-speed manual transmission. Induction is from a single Weber downdraft carburetor that was rebuilt in preparation for the sale aLording to the seller.
Additional servicing is said to have included an oil change, removing and cleaning the fuel tank, servicing the transmission and differential, balancing the drive shaft, and replacement of the battery, fuel filter, tailshaft seal, and U-joints.
