This 1978 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 was sold new by Gary Fronrath Chevrolet in Ft. The car is finished in Bright Blue Metallic over white vinyl and powered by a 350ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes tinted glass, an adjustable driver’s seat, a positraction rear axle, power-assisted steering and brakes, power windows, air conditioning, door edge guards, a tilt steering column, the Style trim package, and aluminum wheels. The brake pads, rotors, and shock absorbers were replaced in 2020.
The car is said to have been refinished in its factory Bright Blue Metallic (24) in 2019. Features include tinted glass, body-colored bumpers and sport mirrors, full-length pinstriping, a faux hood scoop and fender vents, dual exhaust outlets, and front and rear spoilers. Aluminum 15″ turbine wheels wear black Z28 center caps and are wrapped in Goodyear Polysteel Radial white letter tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The brake pads, shock absorbers, and rotors are said to have been replaced in 2020.
The cabin features optional Berlinetta front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in white vinyl, along with matching door panels, pillar trim, and headliner. Amenities include air conditioning, a center console, power windows, black carpeting, and “Z28” floor mats.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 130-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles.
The numbers-matching 350ci V8 was factory rated at 185 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a 3.73:1 positraction rear axle.
