Just 703 Mondials were produced in the initial production run between 1980 and 1982, and this example is finished in Rosso Corsa. Equipment includes pop-up headlights, black bumpers and trim, a sunroof, aftermarket Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and quad exhaust exits.
348-style 17″ wheels are wrapped in Yokohama S.drive tires sized 215/50. Braking is provided by ventilated discs at each corner.

The mid-mounted 3.0-liter V8 utilizes Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 214 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque when new. A Nicks Forza Electromotive ignition system has been added. In February 2019, GLB Motorworks of Saint Louis, Missouri performed a timing belt service and also changed the accessory belts and coolant. An oil change was carried out in October 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle with a dogleg first gear.
